Bio: Hello and welcome to my corner of the web. Let me tell you a little about what I do. By trade, I am a certified Faux Finish Professional. Surprisingly a lot of people don't know what that is. In simple terms, faux finish means that I create decorative finishes for walls and cabinetry. My favorite style of finishing work is old-world plaster finishes that replicate what might be found on hundreds and thousands of year old historical buildings. I find inspiration for finishes thanks to a few TV shows like The Originals. Most of the series is filmed in the heart of the French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana. NOLA also happens to be one of my favorite cities to visit. I also enjoy working with finishes that are more minimal as well. I also do kitchen cabinetry and furniture refinishing and painting work as well. In addition to faux finish and decorative painting, I am also an interior and event stylist. I do enjoy photography, but do not consider myself a photographer. At this point, photography is a hobby, but the nature of my business dictates that I must have quality photos of my work. That works out nicely for me since I do enjoy learning about another artistic field that I find enjoyable and fun. On the more personal side of me, I am a dog lover and mom to one giant fur-kid. His name is Sebastian. I love him more than anything. He can be considered a rescue since he came to me from an oops litter. He is a Black Lab and Golden Retriever mix. I also have an autoimmune disease named Celiac Disease. I cannot eat gluten, wheat, rye, or barley in any way, shape, or form. It is very dangerous for me to consume that nasty stuff. It also makes me violently sick. As a result of this dreadful disease, I have had to relearn how to cook e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g all over again using different types of flour and dairy free butter. I know the struggle for Celiacs and those with gluten intolerance issues. On occasion, when I discover a delicious recipe or develop one of my own, I will share those in a blog post. When I began blogging again I decided I wanted to have more of lifestyle blog than a business blog focused on what I do. I'm a natural storyteller and I enjoy sharing them with others.
